Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota Friday clarified the stand of Brazil opposing the sanctions on Iran.

"Our goal is to promote confidence and reduce tensions, contribute to the solution of difficult and complex matters," the minister said, adding: Brazil considers diplomacy the best way to tackle this issue.

The minister called on the international community to settle Iran's nuclear issue through dialogue and diplomacy, not through new sanctions.
