Beijing, November 15 (KCNA) -- Zhang Dejiang, vice-premier of the Chinese State Council, called for raising the IT level of the economy and society.

Addressing a recently held national forum of IT experts, Zhang said a priority should be paid to promoting the combination of IT basis and industrialization and developing core and vital technologies.

It is also important to speed up building IT facilities suitable for the new era and ensure the safety of networks and information, the vice-premier added.
