Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- The Yonphung Revolutionary Site is located in Kanggye City, Jagang Province.

President Kim Il Sung stayed in the site in December Juche 39 (1950) to preside over the 30th Plenum of the Cabinet and make preparations of the 3rd Plenum of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea in order to encourage the whole party and all the people to win the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953).

During his stay there, he paved a way for the victory in the war and mapped out a plan for post-war rehabilitation and construction.

The historical relics and materials preserved there showcase the superb leadership, unshakable will and popular traits of the President, who defeated the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces and defended the destiny of the nation.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il, who visited the site in September Juche 88 (1999), said the great feats the President performed for the freedom and independence of the fatherland and the happiness of the people would always be kept in the memory of the Korean people.

The site includes a two-storied museum where the President officiated the 30th Cabinet Plenum, a house where he had a consultative meeting with officials and a spring.
