Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il sent birthday spreads to Candidate Academician, Pro. and Dr. Jong Yon U who is Merited Scientist and a researcher of the Neuropsychiatry Research Institute under the Academy of Medical Sciences, and People's Teacher Kang Jun Ho who is principal of Changdok School on occasions of their 80th and 70th birthdays.

Jong worked hard for the development of the medical science of the country and the promotion of health of the people over the past 50 years.

He wrote many textbooks and reference books, achieved valuable successes in researches and brought up dozens of persons with academic degrees or titles.

Working as the principal of Changdok School for 25 years Kang spruced up the school associated with the revolutionary history of President Kim Il Sung and contributed to bringing about a turn in education of prodigies.

Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il invited them to participate in major national meetings and made sure that they were accorded high official commendations.
