Winter Study Tour of Revolutionary Sites Starts

Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons, working people and school youth and children from across the DPRK started the winter study tour of battle sites and revolutionary sites in Ryanggang Province. They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung in the Battle Site in Pochonbo, on the shore of Lake Samji, in the Monument to Victory in Battles in Musan Area and the Chongbong Bivouac Ground and a mosaic depicting the three commanders of Mt. Paektu erected in the Secret Camp on Mt. Paektu. Touring the commanding post of Pochonbo battle, police post of the Japanese imperialists, sub-county office, slogan-bearing trees, etc. they deeply grasped the rare military tactics and outstanding commanding art of the President. They visited the area of Samjiyon township that turned into a socialist land of bliss. Then they mounted Mt. Paektu, holy mountain of the revolution. At leader Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan secret camp they looked round with keen interest the relics preserved with care. They laid flowers before the statue of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero, in the revolutionary site in Sinpha and made a bow to her. They also visited the Phophyong Revolutionary Site associated with revolutionary history of the President and members of Mangyongdae family. Marching along the path associated with the footprints of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners, they held an oath-taking meeting, meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas read by them, a contest of singing revolutionary songs in chorus while marching in array and other colorful political and cultural events. |
