Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- The Order of DPRK Friendship 2nd Class was conferred on Peter Noever, ex-director of MAK Vienna, Austria.

He made great contributions to the development of the friendly relations and cultural exchange between the DPRK and Austria by initiating an art exhibition "Flower to President Kim Il Sung, Art and Architecture of the DPRK" in Austria and making efforts for the successful exhibition.

The conferring ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Wednesday.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Han Chol, vice-minister of Culture, officials concerned and Martin Sajdik, Austrian ambassador to the DPRK.
