Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co. said Monday its group net profit in the April to September period plunged 58.0 percent from a year earlier.

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. said Monday it logged a group net profit of 254.67 billion yen in the first half of fiscal 2011, down 25.4 percent from a year earlier.

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. said Monday it logged a 24.8 percent fall from a year earlier in group net profit.

Japan's core machinery orders fell a seasonally-adjusted 8.2 percent in September from the previous month. The management of machine building businesses is getting serious due to the fall of orders.
