Beijing, November 16 (KCNA) -- Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong called for promoting the development of education science.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Institute of Education Science held recently, Liu stressed the need to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 6th Plenum of the 17th C.C., the Communist Party and enhance the role of education science institutions.

In this way a system of socialist educational theory with Chinese characteristics should be established and the educational work developed in a scientific way, she added.
