Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- A fresh upswing has been effected in industrial establishments of South Hamgyong Province, the DPRK.

The upswing is very significant as it has been effected in the historic period when all the Korean people has turned out in the effort to open up a new heyday of prosperity to mark the centenary birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The province owes the upswing to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

He gave field guidance to the province on several occasions to indicate ways for making a great progress in construction and production.

Inspired by his guidance, the Ryongsong Machine Complex made modern geothermal equipment and the February 8 Vinalon Complex built a horizontal spinning process of vinalon production in only a few months.

The Taehung Youth Hero Mine and Ryongyang Mine have sharply increased production and the Tanchon area has undergone a radical change.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex has completed the first-stage gasification process in two and a half years, making it possible to produce ammonia with brown coal.

Such achievements have also been reported from other industrial establishments and major construction projects in the province.

The tremendous achievements of South Hamgyong Province are greatly encouraging people in all other provinces of the country to bring about an epoch-making turn in the effort for the prosperity of the country and the improvement of the people's living standard.
