Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- More than 10 civic and social organizations of south Korea denounced the nuclear war moves of the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers. They held the 146th action for independence, reunification and peace outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Tuesday.

The exercise of applying extended deterrence means was staged in the U.S. Strategic Command on Nov. 8 and 9 under the sponsorship of the "Extended Deterrence Policy Committee", they disclosed.

The military drill stokes the danger of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula as it is aimed to effect the strategy for preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK, they noted.

They called for immediately ending the war exercise, saying it will balk the efforts for the denuclearization of the peninsula.

The south Korean authorities press for the construction of naval base on Jeju Island which can harbor the U.S. nuclear-powered carrier while mulling introducing U.S.-made drones, they said.

They called upon all the people to come out to fight the forces spurring war preparations.
