Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- The Berlin-based newspaper Junge Welt on Tuesday in an article accused the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano of merely serving U.S. interests in the Vienna-based UN nuclear watchdog.

The German daily said Amano recently announced a report labeling Iran's nuclear activities for peaceful purpose as development of nuclear weapons. Amino is merely serving the U.S. interests, it added.

Junge Welt referred to revelations by the whistleblower website WikiLeaks which pointed to talks between Amano and the American envoy in the IAEA on October 16, 2009 whereby Amano made clear that the U.S. could rely on him with regards to the Iranian nuclear issue.
