Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- An exhibition on scientific and technological achievements in light industry was held at the Three-Revolution Exhibition.

Put on display were more than 400 data on scientific and technological achievements with their samples in the form of diagrams and multi-media presented by light industrial factories and universities and scientific research institutions at all levels.

The exhibition was divided into fields of foodstuff, textile, clothing, shoes and daily necessities. Exchanged there were scientific and technological achievements gained in the efforts to rapidly develop the light industry amid the high-pitched drive to improve the people's living standards.

Highly appreciated were the high-quality products of the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Processing Factory, Pyongyang Stevia Processing Factory, Pyongyang Shoes Factory, Nyongbyon Silk Mill and Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory.

A lot of people made public research findings contributable to putting the production of people's consumer goods on a modern and scientific basis. They included teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry and Sinuiju University of Light Industry and scientists and technicians from the research units under the State Academy of Sciences.
