Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- November 23 marks the 25th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's historic work "Let Us Step Up the Three-revolution Red Flag Movement."

The work comprehensively clarifies the essence, tasks and principles of the three-revolution (ideological, technological and cultural revolutions) red flag movement.

It, which enriched the ideological theory of the Worker's Party of Korea on the mass movement, serves as a driving force of socialist construction in the country.

The movement has displayed its great vitality, bringing about admirable changes in all fields of revolution and construction.

Thanks to the dynamic movement, tremendous achievements have been made in socialist construction in the 1970's and 1980's and significant successes in defending socialism and building a thriving nation in the 1990's and 2000's.

The Korean people have reached a higher ideological and moral level and the politico-ideological unity of the revolutionary ranks has been consolidated.

A big progress has been made in modernizing production processes of industrial establishments and establishing the cultured practices in production and life.

More than 480 units won the three-revolution red flag over the past one year since the historic WPK conference held in September last year.

The number of those honored with twice and thrice three-revolution red flag is steadily increasing.

The facts go to prove that the three-revolution red flag movement has powerfully promoted social changes in the country, as well as the Korean people's effort for the building a thriving nation.
