Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has adopted law on prevention of damages from earthquake and volcano and rescue activities in order to protect lives and property of people from natural disasters.

The law stipulates principles concerning observation and forecast of natural disasters, prevention of damages and rescue activities.

The adoption of the law provides a legal guarantee for thoroughly implementing the government's policy of preventing earthquake and volcano damages and rescuing victims.
