Tehran, November 24 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a press conference on Nov. 22 scathingly rejected the UN resolution on human rights against Iran.

The UN on Nov. 21 adopted a resolution on the human rights situation of Iran under the instigation of the U.S. and other Western countries. In this regard the spokesman said the human rights at present are being abused as a political tool of the West to put pressure on other countries.

Denouncing the West for its double-dealing attitude toward the human rights issue, the spokesman stressed that the UN should make a thoroughgoing investigation into the human rights violation in the U.S. and other Western countries, not into the human rights issue of Iran.
