Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- A metal sculpture "Revolutionary", displayed in the International Friendship Exhibition House, is a gift presented to leader Kim Jong Il by the Socialist Party of Ukraine in July Juche 85 (1996).

With reverence for President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, leading members of the party, which was founded in the early 1990s, deeply studied the Juche idea to apply it to its activities.

When visiting Pyongyang, a senior official of the party asked a DPRK official to convey the gift to Kim Jong Il, saying:

"The DPRK now stands as the center and bulwark of the world's socialism. This gift represents an ardent desire of the members of the Socialist Party of Ukraine to see Kim Jong Il successfully leading the world's socialist movement."

The sculpture portrays a worker of the Kiev Munitions Factory taking part in an armed revolt for socialism in 1917.

The worker, holding a red flag high, reflects the party members' will to revive socialism.

The sculpture was inscribed in its stand with letters "To the fraternal Korean people. From the Ukrainian socialists. 1996."
