Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Actions were staged in across south Korea on Wednesday to condemn the group of traitors for having railroaded the "motion calling for ratification of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement" through the "National Assembly".

A candlelight rally took place in the plaza of the Seoul City Office with attendance of members of the Headquarters of the All-People Movement for Checking the Conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. FTA and opposition parties and 10 000 people of different social standings.

Speakers at the rally charged that the present "government" and the "Grand National Party" are persistently going against the will of the population.

The FTA with the U.S. can never be accepted as it is too unequal and will totally destroy the south Korean economy and widen the gap between the rich and the poor, they said.

The ralliers took a demonstration.

They staged protests in different parts of the city though the police fired water cannons and ran amuck to walk them away.

That day voices demanding disbandment of the GNP and the resignation of the "government" were heard in across south Korea.

Civic and public organizations and opposition parties held meetings and news conferences outside GNP buildings in different parts of south Korea to protest its behavior.

Protest actions were also staged in different parts of south Korea by regional organizations under the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Peasants Associations.
