Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Democratic Congo released a statement on Nov. 15 as regards the answers General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave to questions put by ITAR-TASS of Russia.

We extend full support to the answers, considering them to be a highly important document for strengthening of the DPRK-Russia friendship, cooperation and solidarity, the statement said.

Siberia and Far Eastern region of Russia are significant places associated with undying feats of President Kim Il Sung who provided the precious tradition of DPRK-Russia friendship and made signal contributions to its development, it noted, saying:

The nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula is ascribable to the U.S. undisguised nuclear threat and escalated hostile policy, and the DPRK's access to nuclear deterrent is a legitimate self-defensive measure to cope with them.

We take this opportunity to demand that the U.S. replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty, withdraw its armed forces from south Korea and create an environment for the Koreans to reunify the country independently and peacefully by themselves without outsiders' interference.

Only under such atmosphere is it possible to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. should drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK at once, aware that nuke is no longer a monopoly of it.
