Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- The People's Party of Cambodia (PPC) is attaching special importance to the relations with the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). Chea Sim, chairman of the Central Committee of the PPC, said this when meeting Ri In Sok, DPRK ambassador to Cambodia, who paid a farewell call on him on Nov. 23.

The PPC and the WPK have long kept the close friendly relations, Chea Sim said, and went on:

The two parties have steadily developed the relations through exchange of many high-ranking delegations in the past.

Our party and government will as ever closely cooperate with the WPK and the DPRK government.

We are rejoiced over the great achievements made by the WPK and Korean people in socialist construction under the wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and sincerely congratulate them.
