Moscow, November 28 (KCNA) -- Russia's deputy defense minister recently threatened countermeasures to cope with the missile defense system (MD) of the United States.

Anatoly Antonov criticized the United States for unilaterally pushing ahead with the plan to establish MD in Europe, while the Russia-U.S. MD talks have been held for months.

Russia's all measures to counter MD depend on how the situation develops, Antonov said.

If there is no action to neutralize Russia's nuclear deterrent, there will not be any military and technological countermeasure, the deputy minister added.
