Korean People Condemn S. Korea's War Exercise

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- The Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army released a report on Thursday as regards the anti-DPRK war exercise launched by the south Korean military on five islands and their surrounding waters in the West Sea of Korea a year after the Yonphyong Island shelling.

The Korean people, upon receiving the report, are bitterly accusing the south Korean military of the DPRK-targeted exercise.

Pak Jong Gwon, a department director of the Ministry of Metal Industry, told KCNA:

"The reckless war exercise launched by the south Korean military in the West Sea of Korea, far from drawing due lesson from the Yonphyong Island shelling, is tantamount to a downright challenge and declaration of war against the DPRK.

If they dare to fire even a single bullet or shell toward its inviolable territorial waters, sky and land, our army will sweep away their stronghold."

Ri Chol Jin, a 46-year-old worker of the Pyongyang Bearing Factory, said:

"It is the DPRK's mode of counteraction to react the enemy's military provocation with a stern punishment. We will work hard to build a strong economy with a rifle in one hand and a hammer in the other."

Kwak Suk Yong, a 20-year-old student of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, strongly denounced the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea for seeking confrontation with the DPRK.

"If the south Korean military dare to ignite a war, I will join in the army to defend the country," she said.
