Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held at the Central Hall of Workers on Wednesday to mark the 30th anniversary of the publication of President Kim Il Sung's work "The Working Class Should Become the Pivotal Force in the Struggle for Modeling the Whole of Society on the Juche Idea".

The work, published on Nov. 30, 1981, tells that the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea has successfully fulfilled its mission and duty under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea over the past years, and clarifies the tasks to be carried out by the trade union organizations and workers.

Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the GFTUK, workers and trade union members.

Hyon Sang Ju, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made a report at the meeting.

The Juche-oriented idea of President Kim Il Sung on building the trade unions has been brilliantly realized thanks to the energetic ideo-theoretical activities and wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the reporter noted, adding:

Attaching great importance to the work of the GFTUK, Kim Jong Il has energetically led it to bring abut a turn in its work.

The GFTUK has vigorously advanced towards accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche under the leadership of the party and the leader and the workers and the members of the GFTUK have creditably discharged their honorable mission and duty they assumed before the times and history.

The credit for all the successes goes to the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who put forward the GFTUK as a reliable helper of the WPK and the working class as a core force in accomplishing the cause of modeling the whole of society on the Juche idea.

The reporter called on the workers and members of the GFTUK to remain loyal to the Songun idea and leadership of Kim Jong Il and work continued miracles and innovations in production and construction under the torchlight kindled in South Hamgyong Province.
