Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- Candlelight actions of south Koreans from all walks of life against the traitorous and shackling U.S.-south Korea "Free Trade Agreement" are sweeping south Korea. Much upset by this, the south Korean group of traitors orchestrated a despicable farce. Masses and figures of opposition parties held a candlelight rally in front of the Sejong Cultural Center in Seoul on Nov. 26 denouncing the "Grand National Party" for railroading the motion calling for ratification of FTA. A great number of police encircled the venue of the rally. But the participants vied with each other to take the floor, strongly denouncing the puppet authorities for signing up the agreement. The chief of the Jongro Police Station in Seoul stormed the venue unexpectedly. A man in his 50s checked the chief, wrapping the chief's head with his hands. The chief directly went to the police substation where he held a press conference and blared that citizens committed violence against him. The puppet Seoul District Police Agency disclosed photos of violence and distributed them to media outlets. The conservative media busied themselves describing citizens as rioters and distorting the meaning of the candlelight actions. The puppet chief executive held a meeting of chief secretaries on Nov. 28, talking about "threat to democracy." The puppet prime minister said it can never be justified under any circumstances and cried out for taking resolute and stern counteraction against illegal and violent demonstrations that challenge the power according to law and principles. The security authorities hatched a plot to disperse the candlelight rallies and demonstrations, creating a terror-ridden atmosphere in the society. Voice of People and other progressive media of south Korea disclosed that a man who was blamed to have assaulted the chief in the photo, which the chief presented as evidence, was a detective of the Jongro Police Station, not a participant in the rally. Jong Tong Yong, executive chairman of the Democratic Party, Ri Jong Hui, representative of the Democratic Labor Party, who participated in the candlelight rally termed it a trite hoax of the present "government", raising suspicious points as to the behavior of the police chief. This has brought to light the truth behind the farce the puppet group orchestrated by putting the chief of the Jongro Police Station and the detective into use. |
