Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the disabled took place at the Taedonggang Cultural Center of Disabled Persons on Thursday on the International Day of Disabled Persons.

Present at the meeting were Minister of Public Health Choe Chang Sik who is chairman of the Central Committee of the Federation for the Care of the Disabled of Korea, officials concerned and disabled persons. Members of EU aid mission and foreign embassy officials here were on hand.

Speakers at the meeting stressed the need to develop the work with the disabled by boosting cooperation among countries and international organizations.

An art performance was given.

Meanwhile, a table-tennis tournament took place at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on the occasion of the day.
