Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- The Chosan Revolutionary Site is situated in Chosan County, Jagang Province, the DPRK. The revolutionary site is associated with the feats Kim Hyong Jik, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, performed in the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle. He visited there several times, including in November Juche 7 (1918), to restore organizations of the Korean National Association (KNA) which were destroyed or daunted by the Japanese imperialists' suppression. He also worked hard there to develop the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle. He met KNA members and other anti-Japanese and pro-independence activists from throughout the country to indicate ways of invigorating the anti-Japanese struggle based on armed struggle. He also explained to Chosan-based KNA members about the policy adopted at the Chongsudong meeting and encouraged pro-independence organizations in the areas along the River Amnok to turn out in the patriotic struggle against the Japanese imperialists. Preserved in the site are historic relics, including Paesin School. |
