Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The Chongchun Street in Pyongyang has comprehensive sports and welfare service facilities.

The street was built in Juche 77 (1988) under the deep care of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il for the country's sports development.

The sports facilities are enough to host more than 20 events simultaneously.

The Sports Science Library was built in the street in 2009.

Sosan Football Stadium has been rebuilt and the Kumkop (gold cup) Combined Foodstuff Factory was constructed for sportspersons.

A Taekwon-Do complex consisting of a Taekwon-Do center, field training ground and research institute is under construction in a large area near Taekwon-Do Hall.

The Chongchun Street plays a big role in developing sports techniques and promoting people's health.
