Beijing, December 1 (KCNA) -- The 5th national meeting on the work for women and children was held in Beijing on Sunday.

Addressing the meeting, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao called on governments at all levels to include the work for women and children in the general plans for socio-economic development and public policies, strengthen guidance over the work and increase investment in it.

All social strata should pay close attention to the work and make society replete with the good habit of respecting women and protecting children, the premier said.
