Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The Headquarters of the All-People Movement for Checking the Conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement called a press conference on Nov. 30 to make public a declaration opposing the shackling FTA, south Korean MBC reported. The declaration was signed by 5,000 people from all walks of life including members of civic and public organizations, opposition party members and students.

The declaration said that the unequal FTA with the U.S. should be cancelled at once.

The authorities cracked down with water cannons down the protesters demanding nullification of the "motion for the ratification of FTA" which was railroaded by the "Grand National Party", it charged.

It called upon all the people to rise up in the large-scale action for nullifying the motion.
