Beijing, December 1 (KCNA) -- China successfully launched remote detection satellite-13 into its preset orbit.

Carrier rocket Changzheng-2 with the satellite atop blasted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launching Center on November 30.

The satellite will be used for scientific experiment, survey of land resources, prevention of natural disasters and other purposes.
