Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, went round the Kaeson Youth Park Funfair to learn about its management and operation.

Walking round different places of the funfair meeting the modern aesthetic need, he acquainted himself in detail with its management and operation.

In order to learn about the operation of amusement facilities, he let officials accompanying him ride on a merry-go-round, a triple giant stride, nose diving tower and switchback. He was pleased to hear that all the amusement facilities are good ones which help children and school youth and students cultivate valor and bravery and old people enjoy a joyful life.

Then he dropped in at a kiosk in the compound of the funfair serving wheat cake stuffed with roast chicken to learn about its nutrients and price.

He was greatly satisfied to know that the officials of the Guidance Bureau of Mt. Taesong, the General Bureau for Service for People, the August 28 Foreign Trade Administration Bureau and other relevant fields are regularly operating the amusement facilities and letting various catering networks render good service in the spirit of devoted service for the people.

He set forth the tasks to be fulfilled to manage and operate the funfair.

What is most important for managing and operating the funfair is to conduct check-up and control of the amusement facilities in a responsible way, he said.

It is necessary to strengthen the technical control of equipment and steadily improve their operation so that visitors may feel not the slightest inconvenience, he noted.

It is also necessary to spruce up the funfair ground well to make it match its environment, he added.

He underscored the need to provide sufficient quantities of foodstuff and other things to the catering networks in the funfair to operate them more effectively.

Deeply moved by the profound loving care the leader showed for the people by spending even Sunday to make the people's life happier, the officials and other workers of the funfair firmly pledged themselves to get more cheerful laughter of people heard in the park as wished by him.
