Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea on Nov. 24 posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "Prospering economy of DPRK".

The United States and south Korea are spreading a false rumor slandering the national economy of the DPRK, the article said, and went on:

In recent years the DPRK has worked unprecedented miracles and innovations in socialist economic construction.

Many countries are paying growing attention to the DPRK, a country with huge economic potentials and rich natural sources. Their geopolitical view of the DPRK is changing day by day.

It is a foolish act to slander the DPRK defying this reality.

By spreading the distorted opinion they seek to lay obstacles in the way of turning the DPRK into an economic power.

As far as the economic stagnation and bankruptcy are concerned, the U.S. is troubled by a large number of poor people and south Korea by an increasing number of those who commit suicides due to unemployment and poverty.

The DPRK will further strengthen the might of the self-supporting economy.
