Japan's Claim to Tok Islets under Fire: Minju Joson
|

Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The Japanese ambassador in Seoul recently said the projected construction of facilities on Tok Islets "can never be accepted from Japan's stand", expressing "regret" over it. His shameless claim to the islets shows that he is obsessed with the ambition for grabbing other's territory, Minju Joson Tuesday says in a bylined commentary. The DPRK does not feel any need to argue with Japan over whom the set of disputed Islets belong to, the commentary notes, and goes on: Tok Islets had never been Japan's and they have existed as part of an inviolable territory of Korea generation after generation throughout the 5 000 year-long history of the Korean nation. Japan has often claimed the islets without any ground. Herein lies its sinister intention which can never go unnoticed. The Japanese reactionaries are eager to dominate the whole of Asia, not just the group of small islets. Japan has long made big efforts to become a military giant and launch military expansion overseas. The reality proves that the Japanese reactionaries' ambition for militarist expansion overseas aimed at aggression has been pushed forward in real earnest. It is a foolish daydream for Japan to give its eye-teeth for Tok Islets. Japan would be well advised to stop coveting for them. |
