Beijing, December 5 (KCNA) -- China is directing efforts to the prevention of land erosion in the basin of the Yangtze River.

The government has a view to keeping land in the area of 78 500 square meters from being washed away during the 12th Five-Year Plan.

In this period such steps will be reportedly taken as forestation and river improvement projects in the basin.
