Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- New apartment houses for more than 540 families have been built in Phyongsong City, South Phyongan Province of the country.

14 blocks of 5- or 7-storeyed apartment houses were built in a little more than one year to form a wonderful residential district.

Moving into new houses is going on now.

Leading officials of provincial party and power organs congratulated citizens on their moving to new houses.

It is one of the socialist policies in the DPRK for the state to provide the people with houses free of charge.

Taking part in the construction of those houses were institutions at different levels and industrial establishments in the province. They included the Rural Economy Committee, People's Security Department and Information and Communications Bureau of the province and the Phyongsong City People's Committee.
