Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States was held in the capital city of Venezuela on Dec. 2 and 3.

Present there were heads of state and government delegates of 33 countries of the region.

The creation of the community was formally proclaimed at the summit.

The participants discussed the issue of arresting the interference of the dominationist forces and achieving the independent development and unity of the region, the issue of enhancing the influence of the regional countries in the international arena, etc.

22 documents were approved at the summit.
