Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- Meetings, seminars and book and photo exhibitions took place in Italy, Nepal and Mexico on Dec. 2 and 3. They marked the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

Displayed in the venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, photos on their immortal exploits and books and photos introducing the Korean people in their efforts to build socialism.

The secretary general of the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche idea said at a meeting that Kim Jong Il has always led the Korean People's Army to victory with his matchless grit, iron will and farsighted wisdom.

The president of the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy in a speech said: The greatest feat of Kim Jong Suk is that she brought up Kim Jong Il as the sun of future. Her feat will remain long in the Korean and world history of women's movement.

The minister of State for Energy of Nepal said in a seminar that under the leadership of Kim Jong Il the DPRK has demonstrated to the whole world its dignity and might, smashing all sorts of challenges and moves of the imperialist allied forces.

The president of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism and other speakers noted that Kim Jong Il has reliably defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country and nation with his Songun politics and that Kim Jong Suk, woman commander of Mt. Paektu, performed undying exploits for the country and revolution.

A message of greeting to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the event in Nepal.
