Nepali Paper Marks DPRK Anniversaries

Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The Nepali paper Rahasha on December 1 carried an article titled "December 24 of the DPRK" to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero. The paper said: December 24 is a significant day in the DPRK. On December 24, 1991, leader Kim Jong Il assumed the KPA supreme commandership. After his assumption, he has built up the KPA into an invincible army, thus repelling the imperialists' moves for aggression on the DPRK and reliably guaranteeing the security of socialist Korea. On December 24, 1917, Kim Jong Suk, revered long as an anti-Japanese war hero by the Korean people, was born. Her distinguished feat is that she provided a sure guarantee for carrying forward the socialist cause through generations in the DPRK. On December 24, 2008, a torch of fresh revolutionary surge was kindled in the DPRK. Giving field guidance to the Chollima Steel Complex Kim Jong Il called for kindling this torch for building a thriving nation. The Mexican paper Unidad Nacional on November 30 carried an article on the undying feats performed by Kim Jong Suk for Korea's liberation, building of a new country and the development of women's movement. |
