Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- Order of DPRK Friendship 2nd Class was awarded to Sun Yanfeng, military, naval and air attache of the Chinese embassy here.

Sun made contributions to the development of the relations of friendship and cooperation between the armies of the DPRK and China with boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung and Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il.

A ceremony of awarding the order took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall here on Thursday.

Present there were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, generals and officers of the KPA, and Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of the Chinese embassy.
