Moscow, December 7 (KCNA) -- The election for the sixth State Duma was held in Russia on Dec. 4.

The chairman of the Central Election Commission informed President Dmitri Medvedev of the election results on Dec. 6.

According to them, the United Russia, the Communist Party, A Just Russia and the Liberal Democratic Party have gained enough votes to enter the new State Duma.

The United Russia won 238 out of the 450 seats in the State Duma.
