Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- State commendations were given to officials, scientists, technicians and workers who performed feats in successfully ensuring the production, assembly and trial operation of oxygen separator with a capacity of 15 000 cubic meters in the DPRK.

The title of DPRK Labor Hero, accompanied by Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and Order of National Flag First Class, was conferred on five persons and Order of Kim Il Sung to one person. Such commendations as Kim Il Sung Prize, Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize, honorary titles, orders and medals were awarded to 1 410 of the Rakwon Machine Complex.

Also commendations were conferred on those officials, scientists, technicians, workers and helpers who made distinguished service in the construction of the first-phase process for gasification at the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex.

3 818 persons won commendations. 24 of them received the title of Labor Hero and two Order of Kim Il Sung.

Meanwhile official commendations were given to meritorious officials, technicians and employees of the Taehung Youth Hero Mine and the Taehung Noodle House. They drastically increased the production of magnesia clinker and light burned magnesia by putting the magnesia industry on a Juche-oriented basis, turned out new products and did devoted services for workers and inhabitants.

Three persons of the Mine received the title of Labor Hero and 388 honorary titles, orders and medals.

The Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly on Wednesday issued decrees on awarding those commendations.
