Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa, addressing a meeting of a regional organization on Monday, called for strengthening cooperation with the regional countries.

Calderon called on countries in Central America to make greater efforts to beef up regional security on the basis of the achievements made in combating drug trafficking, arms trafficking, money laundering and human trafficking.

He expressed the stand of his government to contribute to achieving prosperity and security in Central America together with the regional countries.
