Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- Modern machine factories in Jagang Province, the DPRK, are taking the lead in the drive of developing the machine-building industry.

The Huichon Ryonha General Machine Plant manufactures CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools like 3, 4 and 5-axis ones.

The large-sized plant has sharply raised the rate of localization in producing parts in a matter of less than one year, remarkably increasing the competitiveness of its products in foreign markets.

The machine factories in the province established an integrated control system and put their production and management on a scientific and technological basis.

Following them, Kusong-based machine producer is turning out a variety of CNC machine tools, while other machine factories in the country are working on putting the production and management on a computer basis.

Meanwhile, a modern tool factory was built in the country to produce various kinds of quality tools.
