Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, on an official goodwill visit to Tanzania, Friday took part in events held in Dar-Es-Salaam on the 50th anniversary of Tanganyika's independence.

Present there were Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, commanders of the Tanzanian army, personages of various circles, citizens, heads of state and governments and high-ranking delegations of different countries, diplomatic envoys and members of military attaches' corps and representatives of international organizations in Tanzania.

The events included the review and parade of the columns of the three services and mass games.
