Beijing, December 11 (KCNA) -- Hong Lei, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of China, in a recent press conference, clarified the stand of China against the U.S. sanctions on Iran.

Commenting on the U.S. demand on other countries to stop the oil dealings with Iran, Hong said that China is consistently opposed to the manner of applying unilateral sanctions against other countries by putting domestic law above international law.

China and Iran have made regular commercial dealings in the energy field, Hong said, adding this is not in breach of relevant UNSC resolution nor harm the interests of international community. Therefore, this can not be problematic, Hong held.
