Radioactive Damage on Increase in Japan

Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Residents in three municipalities including the towns of Namie and Kawamata have been exposed to up to some 37 millisieverts of radiation during the four months after the powerful earthquake and tsunami on March 11 crippled the plant, Fukushima prefectural government officials said Friday.

Tokyo Electric Power Co. on Dec. 6 announced that it has been confirmed that 150 liters of contaminated water containing strontium, a radioactive substance, leaked into the sea from the device for desalinization of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.
