Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- South Africa is working hard to develop and use renewable energy to prevent global warming.

South African President Jacob Zuma on Saturday endorsed the establishment of the South African Renewable Initiative.

Zuma announced South Africa's commitment to reducing its carbon emissions by 34 percent by 2020 by increasing electricity production by renewable energy.
