Geology Museum at Kim Chaek University of Technology

Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- A geology museum has been built at Kim Chaek University of Technology in Korea.

The museum exhibits more than 800 pieces of minerals, rocks and samples of fossil organisms and 20 kinds of illustrations and e-media.

It consists of two halls -- geology and underground resources.

The Geology Hall displays fossils, crystal and igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks.

The Underground Resources Hall houses some 400 exhibits, divided into metal, nonmetal and energy resources.

Multimedia about the formation and evolution of the earth and videos about geological prospecting are also available in the museum.

It provides conditions of hands-on education for students and research activities.
