Abrogation of NSL Demanded in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The People's Solidarity for the Repeal of the "National Security Law" (NSL) in south Korea held a meeting in Seoul on Dec. 10 to demand repeal of the fascist law.

Speakers at the meeting charged that this year the prosecution and police arrested people more than four times the figure in 2006 by invoking the NSL.

For 63 years after the emergence of this fascist law, such fabrications as "spy-ring case" have been cooked up one after another and ordinary people branded as spies in a day due to the authorities' anti-DPRK hostile policy, they said.

It is nonsensical to regard the north as enemy, and the NSL should be repealed without fail, they stressed.

They declared they would punish the "government", hell-bent on human rights abuses with the unpopular and treacherous fascist law, at an early date.
