Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- Seminars and lectures took place in Ethiopia and Peru between Dec. 3 and 8 to mark the 20th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

The secretary general of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea in his report at a seminar said that the 20 years of Kim Jong Il as supreme commander of the KPA are a shining history in which he put the national defence capability on the highest phase, firmly defended socialism and opened a new era of building a thriving socialist nation.

The chief of a branch of the study group in a lecture told about the life of Kim Jong Suk devoted to safety of President Kim Il Sung and comrades and people.

The secretary general of the Peruvian preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and other speakers noted that the greatest feat of Kim Jong Il is that he defeated every challenge of the imperialists and reliably defended and glorified the socialist cause and the dignity of the country and the nation with his unique Songun politics.

They stressed that the exploits of Kim Jong Suk who brought about bright future of Korea and made contribution to the liberation of the country and development of the women's movement will be ever- lasting.
