Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- We hope that the Korean people would register greater achievements in the work for the nation's economic progress and improvement of the living standard and the tension on the Korean Peninsula would be defused as soon as possible.

Albanian President Bamir Topi said this on Dec. 7 when receiving credentials from DPRK Ambassador to his country Ju Wang Hwan.

The president also hoped for development of relations in various fields on the basis of the tradition of the friendly ties existing between the two countries.

He expressed expectation that the two countries would contribute to defending the world peace and security through mutual cooperation in the international arena.
